Private GP in London
Private GP consultations in London
Our private general practitioner service is intended to provide prompt, individualised and thorough medical care without requiring you to wait. Our general practitioners are available to help, whether you need an appointment soon, a regular health examination, or a thorough consultation for a persistent health problem.
Appointments are in the clinic, by video, or at home, and the fee is published before you book. No GP referral is needed.
What our GPs offer
Seeing a private GP in London should not mean a wait, or ten rushed minutes. Our GPs work in both the NHS and private practice, and appointments run to 15 or 30 minutes — in the clinic, by video, or at home. No GP referral is needed, you book directly, and you stay registered with your own NHS practice.
A private GP appointment here covers new or long-standing symptoms, vaccinations, contraception, private blood tests, health checks, prescriptions and referral letters to a consultant. Prescriptions can be taken to almost any pharmacy in England and Wales, and referral letters are emailed to you after the consultation.
Because this is a diagnostic centre, the test and the appointment usually happen in the same building — ultrasound, X-ray and blood tests are on site and can often be done on the same visit, so you leave with an answer rather than another appointment. The clinic is in N13, a short journey from Southgate, Winchmore Hill, Enfield, Wood Green and Muswell Hill, and the fee is confirmed with you before anything is booked.
When to see a private GP
Most people book a private GP for the everyday things that are hard to be seen for quickly: a chest or throat infection that will not clear, a urine infection, a rash or a mole you want looked at, stomach pain, headaches, blood pressure, or tiredness that needs blood tests behind it.
It is also where a second opinion starts. If you have been told to wait and see and you would rather know, an appointment buys you a proper examination, the tests to settle the question, and a written referral to a specialist consultant where one is needed.
Appointments are 15 minutes for a single clear problem or 30 minutes when there is more than one thing to talk through, and you can be seen in the clinic, by video, or at home. Every fee is published on this page and nothing is paid until we have spoken — book a private GP appointment or send an enquiry and the team will call you back.
Fees
The published appointment fees. Tests, scans and medication arranged as a result of your consultation are charged separately and quoted to you first.

Brilliant service from booking appt to having the scan and report. The sonographer was extremely knowledgable and had a great bedside manner. I went on 29/12 and I didn't catch the name of the lady but I have to say she answered all my questions thoroughly and honestly.
Dr Bhagat was exceptionally thorough and reassuring. He explained the X-ray and ultrasound results clearly, ruling out any serious concerns and recommending the best next steps. His calm and caring approach put us at ease throughout. Highly recommended.
Went for some diagnostic tests and was seen within hours of contact with Jose. The tests were completed quickly, with everything fully explained and a report provided within 24 hours. Extremely efficient and friendly service. Special thanks to Jose.
Superb service. I had an US for my soft tissue, very welcoming staff. The sonographer was thorough, friendly and accurate. I would chose this place again and highly recommended if you could choose to have your In-Health scans.
Extremely impressed with my scan appointment the sonographer explained clearly all parts of my scan which was most reassuring. The staff were all very knowledgeable and friendly , I can highly recommend the LDC.
I was able to get an appointment for an ultrasound scan within a few days for a reasonable cost and the service was very friendly and efficient and got the scan report back within a couple of hours.
huge thank you to Doctor Jawad Yahya from the bottom of my heart for being an amazing doctor. Thank you for referring me to Doctor Hossein Rostamipour (consultant psychiatrist) for ADHD assessment.
Excellent practice. Friendly, welcoming personnel and the venue is clean and modern. The radiologist was pleasant and explained everything clearly. Highly recommended.
Frequently Asked Questions
The questions the clinic is asked most often about seeing a private GP.
If yours is not here, call 020 8920 3129 and ask.
Can I book an appointment on the day?
Send a request through this site or call the clinic and the patient care team will come back to you with the earliest appointment they can offer. Same-day appointments are often possible, but this page does not promise a time it cannot guarantee — you will be told what is actually available before anything is confirmed.
Can I collect my prescription from anywhere?
You can take your electronic prescription to nearly any pharmacy of your choice in England and Wales. Alternatively we can help you find a pharmacy near you.
Can I be referred to a specialist?
Yes. We can send referral letters directly to your email address after your consultation with our GP or clinician.
Do you share records with my own GP?
We advise that you consent to allowing us to share your medical records with your own GP. This is to ensure you receive better and safer care, and it means we can prescribe a broader range of medications.
Do I need to de-register with my GP?
No. We do not require you to de-register with your GP, and using this service will not affect you making future appointments with your own GP.
How can I book a blood test?
You can arrange a private blood test by booking an appointment and discussing your requirements with one of our GPs. Your GP will arrange the appropriate blood tests and explain how you can book the test.
Do I have to pay for my prescription?
The cost of the appointment includes prescription-writing. However, the cost of the medication prescribed will vary depending on the pharmacy, and the pharmacy may also charge a private dispensing fee. NHS prescription exemptions do not apply.
Where is the clinic?
